Clawson Truck Center Assists Poverello House During Honda’s Week of Service

Honda’s annual Week of Service is approaching us! This year, Clawson Truck Center decided to partner up with Clawson Honda and Poverello House, volunteering on June 8th and 15th and donating items. The Poverello House works to help the community by providing meals, social services and temporary shelter to those in need. Clawson Truck Center employees will rally at the Poverello House to serve breakfast as well as deliver and sort donations that have been previously collected by Clawson customers and employees.

Clawson Truck Center is rewarding those who come into the dealership and donate items with a free coffee from the Clawson Café barista bar. If you are interested in donating, here is the list of items Poverello House have requested: toiletries, packaged socks and underwear, clothing (gently worn is fine), canned food items, blankets, household cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and bottled water.

For the convenience of our community, we will also be hosting a donation Drive Thru on Friday, June 7th from 6:30am to 9am. Simply arrive at the donation Drive Thru in front of Clawson Motorsports, drop off your donation from your car, and you'll be on your way! To thank you for your donation, you will receive a voucher for a free coffee at Clawson Café that can be redeemed at any time.

The upcoming Team Honda Week of Service provides Clawson with the opportunity to extend its community reach while creating a long-term relationship with the Poverello House. By continuing to build relationships with non-profits throughout the community, Clawson hopes to continue giving back to the community who has helped them grow throughout the years. This is the fourth annual Week of Service coordinated by Honda, the volunteer projects happen in U.S., Canada and Mexico. It reinforces the Team Honda spirit of working together to make a difference in the communities in which we live and work.
